MEET THE KP2 BBQ CREW!
KP2 BBQ is truly a family business!
Kurt (shown center) is the first KP of KP2. Kurt is KP2 BBQ’s Senior Grillmaster! After 32 years in the military, Kurt recently retired to pursue his passion for bringing amazing BBQ to you! Kurt has been honing his BBQ skills over the years both at home, and BBQing on deployments and military bases worldwide! Over the past few years, his sons have convinced him to also bring his BBQ skills to national competitions. He is a member of the KCBS, and constantly researches ways to bring the best BBQ to you!
Kris (shown left of Kurt) is the second KP of KP2. Kris is KP2 BBQ’s Event Coordinator and Kurt’s wife! She helps make sure the events go smoothly, and that all of the serving times are met with precision. If clients have any questions or concerns, she is always there to help. If something else is ever needed, she will make it happen! When Kris is not working on KP2 BBQ events, she owns a graphics company called Byfuglien which can also supply your events with signs and banners!
Justin (shown on the left). Justin is a KP2 BBQ Grillmaster and Kurt’s oldest son! Justin is our rock solid man. He makes sure all temperatures, spices and sauces are perfect. He is always coming up with new exciting flavor combinations. We’re never sure what he’s going to come up with next, but it’s always something fantastic!
Adam (shown on the right). Adam is a KP2 BBQ Grillmaster and Kurt’s second oldest son! Adam is our ambassador. Always happy to meet everyone and share a story. But when it comes to BBQ, he also loves to perfect his craft and tries BBQing things most people wouldn’t…like octopus!
Austin (shown second from right). Austin is a KP2 Junior Grillmaster, Justin’s son, and Kurt’s grandson! Austin is the professor. He studies things he loves to do, and has been working on perfecting his BBQ skills and has been competing with KP2 BBQ at KCBS events since he was 13. Even though he’s still in high school, he has come up with is own recipes, and has placed high at BBQ competitions! Austin is also an amazing baseball player. Remember his name, because one day you’ll see him in the MLB!!!
